These awards are
open to students of the biological sciences who are preparing for a career in the field of
microbiology. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited educational
institution in Michigan, have been a member of the ASM and/or the Michigan ASM for at
least one year, and show evidence of involvement in microbiology research or related
activities (e.g. abstracts, grants, active research projects; teaching; volunteer
activities).
Undergraduates and first-year graduate students are encouraged to
apply.
