SCIENTISTS: one or two, ideally Ph.D. level but others considered as well. Responsible for the development of new assays (in vitro and ex vivo) and the evaluation of new methodologies (ELISA, ECLA, MSD, ligand binding assays, other immunological assays). Responsible for preparation of samples, equipment maintenance tracking, experimental record keeping (including GLP) and operating instruments including (but not limited to) flow cytometer and liquid handling, evaluation of data and monitoring equipment. The successful applicant will be responsible for the development of new assays which the laboratory can and should offer as a full service immunology laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for training the junior level laboratory personnel in these new assays/methods. The candidate will also support the daily operation of the equipment and software used for immunological analysis. The candidate will assist in sample preparation, tissue culture and assessment and analysis of the results obtained when necessary. General maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory is also expected. Proper documentation of data, training and record keeping required, GLP training a plus. The applicant may be called upon, as appropriate to interact directly with Study Directors and sponsors focusing on the scientific and technical feasibility of existing laboratory capabilities and implementation of new assays and techniques.
RESEARCH ASSOCIATES: two or three, ideally with a BS in immuno/bio/or other applicable degree. Assist with assay development and validation in accordance with approved study protocol, SOPs, and GLP guidelines; conduct assays, plan and schedule experiments, including preparation of reagents and test materials; maintain detailed records and documentation to comply with regulatory requirements, MPI Research SOPs and GLP guidelines; assist in writing procedures and develop / revise departmental forms; review for accuracy and organization of studies and departmental data including assisting in preparation for archiving following study protocols and SOPs; and maintain and conduct calibration, preventative/routine maintenance, and non-routine maintenance for departmental laboratory equipment in accordance with SOPs.
Candidates with at least one or two years of experience for the RA positions are desired. Brand-new graduates will be considered if they have demonstrable equipment experience. For the higher-level hires, experience in industry is preferred.

This position is responsible for leading and supporting preventative microbiology programs at Access Business Group (ABG). These efforts are aimed at assuring that the products made at ABG are free from microbial contamination. Specific duties include coordinating and performing the microbiological sampling and testing of plant environments, supporting ABG's cleaning and sanitizing validation programs, identifying and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities, and training Manufacturing and QA staff on GMPs and plant hygiene. This position requires specific knowledge of microbiological techniques and procedures, with preference given to those with knowledge and experience with the microbiological aspects of cleaning and sanitizing processes. |

The desired candidate would have a Bachelors degree in Microbiology with 3 - 5 years appropriate scientific exposures. This person should have knowledge and expertise in microbiological principles with experience in cleaning and sanitizing processes. Working knowledge of cGMP, with experience in OTC and/or pharmaceutical drug operations strongly preferred. |
