- Post-meeting UPDATE: On Friday,
the day before the meeting, Dr. Dennis Cvitkovitch became ill and was unable to speak at
the conference. We are pleased that Dr. Chuanwu (Wu) Xi from the University of Michigan
School of Public Health was able to step in at the last moment and deliver the afternoon
talk. The title of his talk was "Exploring
biofilms with molecular, imaging and nano-technology". Dr. Xi is an Assistant
Professor in the Department of Environmental Health Services at the University of
